Gracy's research interests include the application of clinical guidelines into public health interventions, the implimentation and evaluation of community interventions for childhood sthma, translational research, Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR), conducting and analyzing needs assessments, behavioral medicine and behavior change in public health.

Bio: 
Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Gracy earned an MD from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in 1995, working as a Primary Care Physician in the Brazilian Army and Brazilian Public Healthcare System, both in primary care and emergency settings. She obtained her certification by the United States Educational Commission for Foreign Graduate Students (ECFMG) in 2001. Her passion for Public Health and Research lead her to join the Graduate Program at the UC Merced Public Health in 2014, where she is finalizing the research for her PhD in Community Asthma Intervention.
